Audiscript is a voice transcription app that processes all audio recordings entirely on your device. We are committed to transparency about what data stays on your phone and what limited data is collected through third-party services.
All voice recordings and transcriptions are processed locally on your device using Apple's Neural Engine. No audio data is ever uploaded to any server. No internet connection is required for recording or transcription. Your audio files are stored only on your device and are never accessible to us or any third party.
We do not collect, store, or have access to your voice recordings, transcriptions, or any content you create within the app. The following limited data is collected through third-party services for app functionality and advertising:
When you use Audiscript, an anonymous account is automatically created via Google Firebase Authentication. This generates a random identifier (UID) that is not linked to your name, email, or any personal information. This anonymous ID is used solely to manage your Pro subscription status. No personal information is collected or required for this process.
If you purchase Audiscript Pro, we store the following data in Google Cloud Firestore linked to your anonymous ID:
This data is used exclusively to verify and restore your purchase across devices. It does not contain your name, email, payment details, or any recording content.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand general app usage patterns such as which features are used most frequently, app stability, and session duration. This data is collected anonymously and in aggregate. It does not include any content from your recordings or transcriptions. You can limit analytics data sharing through your device's privacy settings.
The free version of Audiscript displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and general interaction data to serve ads. If you grant tracking permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt, AdMob may use your Advertising Identifier (IDFA) to show personalized ads. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized.
Audiscript Pro users do not see any ads, and no advertising data is collected for Pro users.
Audiscript uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
AI models (WhisperKit, FluidAudio) run entirely on-device and do not transmit any data to external servers.
Your recordings and transcriptions are stored only on your device. You can delete them at any time from within the app. Anonymous account data in Firestore is retained as long as your account exists. If you wish to delete your account data, please contact us at the email below.
Audiscript is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
