Does Audiscript require an internet connection?
No. All voice recording and transcription runs entirely on your device using Apple's Neural Engine. You can record and transcribe without any internet connection. Internet is only needed to download additional AI models or to display ads in the free version.
Are my recordings uploaded to any server?
Absolutely not. Your audio files and transcriptions are stored only on your device. We never have access to your recordings. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
The free version lets you make unlimited recordings up to 1 minute each, using Base and Small Whisper models. Audiscript Pro (one-time purchase) unlocks recordings up to 2 hours, all AI models, speaker diarization, all export formats, and removes ads.
How do I restore my Pro purchase on a new device?
Go to Settings > Subscription > Upgrade to Pro and tap "Restore Purchase" at the bottom. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Which languages does Audiscript support?
Audiscript uses OpenAI's Whisper models, which support over 90 languages. For best results with multiple languages, use the Small or Large V3 Turbo model. The "Small English" model is optimized specifically for English.
What is speaker diarization?
Speaker diarization automatically identifies different speakers in your recording and labels who said what. This is useful for meetings, interviews, and group conversations. It's available with Audiscript Pro.
Why is my transcription inaccurate?
Accuracy depends on the AI model and audio quality. Try using a larger model (Small or Large V3 Turbo) for better results. Recording in a quiet environment with clear speech also helps significantly.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete any recording directly from the app. Since all audio stays on your device, deleting it removes it permanently. If you want to delete your anonymous account data from our servers, contact us at mkoroglu.dev@gmail.com.

Troubleshooting

Microphone not working

Go to iOS Settings > Audiscript and make sure microphone access is enabled. Restart the app if needed.

Model download fails

Ensure you have a stable internet connection and enough storage space. Try switching to Wi-Fi if you're on cellular data.

Recording stops unexpectedly

Free users are limited to 1-minute recordings. Upgrade to Pro for recordings up to 2 hours. Also ensure the app has background audio permissions.
